Data team as a service

A data team you subscribe to, on a platform you keep

“Data team as a service” is a crowded search. Most results are either a staffing shop or a product-led warehouse with a support Slack. Managed Data Platform is narrower: the operating team is included because the product is unusable without someone who will certify revenue with your finance lead.

What is included

Ten hours a month of senior engineers on your stack. Pipelines, SQLMesh models, certified Metabase dashboards, metric definitions, then data agents on that same layer. MCP for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and VS Code when you want assistants on certified numbers.

  • Not a self-serve connector catalog
  • Not a chatbot on CSV exports
  • Not a ZCT Consulting project SOW (that offer still exists for scoped builds)

Who should not buy this

If data is your product, hire. If you already have two analytics engineers, buy Fivetran and keep going. If you need a three-month migration with an end date, talk toZCT Consulting.

Frequently asked questions

Is data team as a service just staff augmentation?

No. You are not renting a contractor on Slack. You subscribe to a platform with warehouse, models, and certified dashboards, plus 10 hours a month of the team that operates that platform.

How is this different from Definite or other DTaaS pages?

Many DTaaS pages are product-led platforms with an optional team. Managed Data Platform is the team plus the platform as the SKU, on BigQuery you keep.

Skip the hire. Keep the platform.

From €2,500/month. 10 hours of the team included.
